TENAE DIXON
Tenae joined GVG in 2019 having previously worked at Terry White pharmacy in Inverloch and prior to that, South Gippsland Shire.
Tenae is GVG's Roster Coordinator and is a administration all-rounder. She has a Certificate III in Business Administration.
Tenae is well travelled, having lived in the UK throughout 2018. At home, Tenae loves playing with her Spoodle pup Vada and all of her other menagerie of family pets.
KARENA HAYWARD
Karena joined the Wonthaggi/Phillip Island veterinary group in 2016 as a nurse/receptionist, with ten years experience in the veterinary industry. Her talents were quickly recognised and she soon fulfilled the role of Head Nurse. During the merger with Tarwin Veterinary Group, Karena took up administrative duties guiding the transition to the newly formed Gippsland Veterinary Group. Karena transitioned to the HR team where she contributed significantly to recruiting, staff support and rostering. Karena became our go-to person for rostering - helping ensure the smooth running of our clinics. She makes sure our clinics are staffed every day, helping us provide our clients with the excellent service they expect. Karena is transitioning to a role as Operations Coordinator - assisting clinics with operational matters and priorities while also managing the rostering function. Karena recently completed her Diploma in Leadership and Management. In her spare time Karena likes socialising with friends and camping.
DEB HOFFRICHTER
Deb is our resident payroll guru and she has more payslips than friends. When she’s not crunching timesheets, you’ll find her whispering sweet nothings to her calculator. Her hobbies include estimating how many calories her ponies can consume in 24 hours and dreaming about a world where the ponies exercise themselves!
Skills: Excel wizardry (she once made a pivot table that put all her ducks in a row). Efficiency (she can eek every skerrick out of a box of coffee pods). Innovation (today she’s wearing a new pair of socks!). Fun fact: Deb’s favourite line is “Take the rest of the day off!” She never means it though!
ELYSIA KELLY
Elysia began her career acting in several Australian soapies before going on to study Media and Communications at UNSW.
From there, she moved into the media industry, working on air at Triple M, as a presenter with Fox Sports and Channel 9's Saturday morning music program, "So Fresh" and as a traffic reporter for Sunrise and The Today Show.
She later shifted gears into marketing and PR with Supercars team, Kelly Racing, before joining Gippsland Veterinary Group as Marketing Coordinator. Here, she gets to combine two of her greatest passions - writing and animals - to help share the stories, services and care of the incredible GVG team.
JODIE LAYTON
Jodie joined GVG in 2022 as a member of the HR team and is loving her wellness role, supporting the staff of GVG.
Jodie comes to GVG with extensive experience in Small Business and Corporate Management in the Finance and Recruitment sectors and more recently with considerable experience in the Veterinary Industry including Administration and Purchasing. Jodie works part time with GVG and also attends to the administration of the small business that she runs with her husband.
Jodie has always lived in the local area and lives on ten acres with her husband, two boys, horses, Labrador Tilly, chooks and guinea pigs. Jodie enjoys travelling around Australia and in 2015 spent three years on a working holiday, travelling Australia in their caravan and homeschooling their children where they were able to connect with many communities and learn about Australia and our history. Jodie enjoys spending time with her horses (oops and family) and particularly has a love of dressage, working in her veggie garden, kayaking, writing (one day she hopes to finish that book) and reading on the rare occasion that she can sneak away from the family.
When she is at home you will always find her with Tilly the Labrador by her side.
