GVG offers an after-hours service for pets, horses and livestock, every day of the year. Our dedicated vets and nurses are rostered on-call every night, weekend and public holiday.
While our clinics are not staffed on-site 24/7, a veterinarian is always available to provide advice over the phone and can attend in-clinic or on-farm if required.

We are proud to provide an after-hours veterinary service for all pets, horses and farm animals across South Gippsland and Bass Coast, supporting both local residents and holidaymakers when they need us most.
After hours, companion animal emergencies are triaged by our on-call veterinarian via telehealth. This initial phone consultation is free of charge for our active patients. For new or inactive patients, a telehealth consultation fee applies. To ensure continued access to our complimentary service, we recommend keeping your pet's annual health checks up to date.
